“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect”. Romans 12:1-3.
“Whatever your hand finds to do,do it with your might, for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going”. Ecclesiastes 10:9
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God,who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 20 Therefore,we are ambassadors for Christ,God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 2:17-21

Looking at this remarkable sunrise a few days ago, I was again reminded as to just how fragile and temporary our lives here are.Regardless, we have the incredible privilege of getting involved, of participating, of making a difference, of actually being someone else's difference. Romans 12 tells us don’t conform to the world and its ways–in short, don’t become a product of your environment, make your environment become a product of you. That’s exactly what God Himself did when he created the heavens and the earth back in Genesis 1.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. 3 And God said,“Let there be light,” and there was light.
And the earth and the darkness changed and became a product of God – God definitely didn’t evolve big eyes over time so He could see in the absolute darkness, Him becoming a product of His environment–as ridiculous as that sounds! No, He made sure that His environment became a product of Him.
Do we have that mindset? Are our standards, our morals, our life code, our ethics crystal clear? Do we know exactly what we want? If we know what it is that we want, it’s so much easier to map out a pathway to get there and achieve what it is that we want. Don’t become a product of your environment, make your environment become a product of you.
None of us know how long we will be here for– (are these the ramblings of a 62 year old confronted by his own mortality – hey, the sun is coming up tomorrow regardless of whether I’m here or not) so we have to make the most out of what we have–we have to make the most out of L.I.F.E–which is to learn, involve, focus and expect.
You are an absolute champion, never forget that–keep learning, being involved, sharpening your focus and increasing your expectation. Jesus IS Lord and He does bless and anoint the investment He has made in you.
Radio Update
Thank you for helping achieve this wonderful milestone of 1000 weeks of radio, achieved back in June. It’s now early September and I’ve had a full recording schedule over the last few weeks.
I’ve recently preached some 9 weeks of messages for radio about “Please Get Involved”emphasising our need to occupy every sector of “decision making society”–from being on the committee of your local stamp collecting or bush walking club through to local, state and federal politics.
Please Get Involved–because if we don’t then the devil will fill up those decision making and direction forming positions with people that are not biblically aligned. It’s a REALLY big topic and when those programs are all edited, I’ll upload them all to the LSCC Church Family Dropbox for you all to access.
Still lots more to do recording wise as Lynda and I will be moving house soon, so will be shutting down the recording suite for a bit during the move
