Who wants to be empowered and anointed in the LORD? Is that you? Today we look at the pathway to becoming empowered and anointed in the LORD and together we work through what the scriptures say about how to go about this.

Scriptures: Philippians 2:12, Proverbs 1:7, Ecclesiastes 5:1-2, Acts 24:16, 1 Thessalonians 5:22, 2 Timothy 2:19

Notes: Having a greater trust in the LORD then in ourselves is paramount to having an understanding of how to create a lifestyle that God highly approves of. After all, it is the fear of the LORD that brings knowledge and wisdom in the first place. Paul says we are to work out our salvation with “serious caution” this is something to pay attention to. When you go to the house of God to draw near, to hear and obey.  Attendance is critical for listening. Listening is critical for obedience. Obedience is critical for direction. Direction is critical for deliverance. Deliverance is critical for progress. Progress is critical for productivity. Productivity is critical for peace. Peace is critical for relationship. Relationship is critical for trust. Trust is critical for intimacy. Intimacy is critical for entrusting. Entrusting is critical for God to entrust you with something. And entrusting is critical for empowering and anointing to flow. So if you’re wanting to be empowered and anointed you need to consider how you come into the house of the LORD and be considering of your salvation with “serious caution” as we draw near to hear and obey.

Be Very Careful P2

In part 2 of this series we continue looking at how to pursue an empowered and anointed life in the LORD. Christianity is not something to be taken lightly, the Apostle Paul addresses this in the scriptures we will be looking at today: Philippians 2:12-14.

Scriptures: Philippians 2:12-14, James 4:5

Notes: “not in my own strength” we are not alone in this walk. God is with us, and will help us to do what pleases Him. We don’t have to try and do it all by ourselves. God wants to give us the strength and the desire to do what pleases Him. Once we work out our salvation with fear and trembling, we seek God, and He is working in us and through us, then we are able to do “do everything without complaining and arguing” and we will shine brightly amongst a “crooked and perverse people” and how great will the joy be when we arrive home and we are able to hear Jesus say, “well done thou good and faithful servant.” But we only get to that point if we start out at the beginning and take our faith seriously working out our salvation with “fear and trembling.”
